Hi everyone.

Although I haven't published anything new this month, I do have good news for those of you who don't buy your eBooks from Amazon.  Rifter is now available from a much wider selection of retailers and, by the end of November, Traitor and Glamoured will also be available elsewhere.

Here are the links for Rifter.

Well, November is NaNoWriMo month (that's National Novel Writing Month) for those not in the know. I'll be taking part and hoping to write the first draft of my next but one book (the next one's already in first draft stage). The idea is that over 30 days you write 50K words. If you want to keep up with my progress, my NaNo page is here, or for weekly updates, you can click on the my other blog here

That's all for now. See you next month.

September 2015

Hi everyone.

Only just managed to get this in before the end of the month! The novella I promised last month is in the process of being published today. It's only up at Amazon, so far, (and may not yet be showng on all sites), but it will be at other retailers shortly. Keep an eye out on the book's page on this website for updates. So, here it is.

A Zombie Novella

The Accidental Necromancer Book Cover
$2.99 or equivalent.

Just because you don’t believe in something, doesn’t mean it isn’t going to happen.

When Macy buys a spell book from the local charity shop on a whim, she’s convinced the words it contains are hogwash. That doesn’t stop her from repeating them. As people begin to rise from their graves, she has to change her opinion. Zombies were not something she’d ever thought she’d have to deal with.

This 22,000 word novella is a cautionary tale of magic, zombies and shattered beliefs.

Buy The Accidental Necromancer now and discover what lies beneath the soil.

Go here for the retailer links.

I'm now working on a new project -- another fantasy novel, this time with elves. I'm hoping this one will be ready before the end of the year, but as I'm only about 3K words in, that may not be possible.

In other news, I've been writing quite a lot of short stories recently. Mostly, these are for submissions to magazines and competitions. The likelihood of them being accepted, or winning, is quite small, seeing as any submissions you make these days, with the internet making entries international, are one of hundreds, if not thousands. Still, no harm in trying!

I hope you're all enjoying your reading. See you next month.

Hi, everyone!

This month I have a new release out. It's a fantasy novel entitled Glamoured. It's the story of Kait and her friends and what happens when they discover the world is not as they thought. Here's the gen.

Glamoured Book Cover

Imagine that one day you find out your whole life is a lie.

Kait doesn’t have to imagine. It’s happening to her.
It was her boyfriend who was into fantasies of faeries and vampires,
when he was alive. Now, she has to believe, for real.

You can buy the eBook now. The paperback will be available in a few days. Once again, it's only available at Amazon at the moment, and you can also borrow it from the Kindle Unlimited library.

Other News

I think I mentioned a possible anthology release this month. Unfortunately, that hasn't yet come to pass. However, there are now two anthologies on the horizon. Hurrah! Hopefully, I'll have something more concrete to announce next month. If it happens early in the month, I'll put up the newsletter earlier than usual, or do two.

My next project is a long short story/novella, which I hope to have finished before the end of September. If you want a little clue about the subject, I can tell you that it starts with a spell book and a graveyard is a key location.

Until next time. Enjoy what's left of the summer.

July 2015

Hi, everyone!

It's July and we're well into the summer holidays and, as usual, the weather is variable in the UK. But that just means more incentive to write.

Book Releases

This month I've released two new books in The Surivival Project Duology. Here are the covers:

Rifter Cover
Traitor Cover
As you can probably guess, they involve travel through a rift!

These books are only available to buy on Amazon at the moment in eBook format (they are both [going to be] available in paperback). They can also be borrowed if you are in Kindle Unlimited. Rifter is currently discounted to $0.99 and Traitor is on pre-order at $3.99.

Here's the blurb for Rifter:

Sometimes, the only way to change your life is to travel.

Eighteen-year-old Mara Scott has been given a chance to find a solution to her world’s climate and pollution problems. She is to travel to another world, an alternative timeline, in the hope that lessons can be learned. She’s far from the first and uppermost in her mind is the fact that her boyfriend, Leo McNaught, travelled six months earlier and never came back.

She's under no illusion. She knows this is a dangerous mission.

But Mara finds herself distracted. The probability of her being able to find a solution is nothing compared to the probability of seeing Leo, or rather, a version of Leo. Yet, that is what happens.

Her heart ruling her head is not a problem she had expected to encounter.

You can check the books out here.

Other News

Now that The Survival Project is finished, I'm working on a fantasy novel and a number of short stories. They're certainly keeping me busy, but I'll be keeping them under wraps for the moment.

Next month, an anthology in which I have a story, is due to be published. I don't have any details of the date yet, but I hope to be able to announce that in the next newsletter.

Until then, have fun.

In other news, I'm currently finishing up a new two-book series (duology). The first book should be available by mid-July, and the second will be on pre-order for a month later. It's science fiction and involves travel(!) and alternate worlds. The July newsletter might be a little earlier in the month so I can tell you all about it when it comes out.

Finally, I now have a Rag & Bones short story up on Wattpad. It's called The Feasting and is Kaleb's story. You can find my page here.

That's all for now.

See you soon.
